AutoMoTIF – Automation Towards Multimodal Transportation And Integration Offreight is a project funded by Horizon Europe to promote the integration and interoperability of automated transport systems within the intra-European multimodal cargo and logistics network. It focuses on the development of strategies, business models, governance frameworks, and regulatory recommendations to address current technological and regulatory gaps. The project aims to identify and address these gaps in automated transport systems, and to enhance synergies between sectors and stakeholders in order to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and lower logistics costs. It analyzes the demand and supply of automated multimodal transport, ensuring the inclusion of user and societal needs. AutoMoTIF aims to align innovation with user expectations and prioritise social, safety, and health (SSH) aspects to create a seamless, automated multimodal cargo transport system.
