boostEDIC M&L

boostEDIC M&L is a four-year, €15 million project funded by the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme, supporting the development of the common European mobility data space. The project represents a strategic step towards a fully interoperable, secure and data-driven mobility and logistics ecosystem in Europe, strengthening competitiveness, sustainability and cross-border cooperation.

Bringing together 25 leading organisations from across Europe – including Member States, public authorities, research and technology organisations, industry associations and innovation leaders – boostEDIC M&L ensures strong alignment between policy objectives, technological development and real-world deployment. The project supports the establishment of the future European Digital Infrastructure Consortium for Mobility and Logistics Data (EDIC M&L), building a sustainable European collaboration framework and defining a coordinated roadmap that aligns national and sectoral initiatives.

A core component of boostEDIC M&L is the implementation of cross-border use cases through financial support to third parties, focusing on real-life applications based on mobility and logistics data sharing across several Member States. These use cases follow a coherent approach to interoperability and promote the sharing and reuse of best practices, while helping to identify and address critical gaps in existing data infrastructures. The project will also develop a Knowledge Hub to facilitate access to data, encourage reuse and foster collaboration among stakeholders.

By combining governance structures, technical expertise and concrete demonstrations, boostEDIC M&L aims to translate Europe’s data space vision into tangible and scalable solutions, paving the way for a more connected, efficient and sustainable European transport system.
