Carolina holds a degree in Journalism and Communication Sciences from the University of Porto. She has worked in communications since 2005, initially at public relations agencies with clients from various sectors, including sustainability, research, science, fashion and consumerism. She then went on to work as a freelancer.

While studying for a Master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations Management at the School of Communication and Media Studies (ESCS) in Lisbon, where she lived for over a decade, she worked as a student assistant. She has also worked at the Portuguese Consulate General in London, the Portuguese Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action, and the Porto City Council. She excelled in political and institutional communication on a range of issues there.
