SEMAS-EMSWe
The SEMAS-EMSWe Project focuses on the transition from existing Maritime Single Windows (MSW) to Maritime National Single Windows (MNSW) in alignment with the European Maritime Single Window environment (EMSWe) Regulation.
The EMSWe serves as a unified platform where all required information for ships arriving at, staying in, and departing from ports in European Member States is reported and made accessible to national authorities and stakeholders.
The project involves seven national competent authorities from Spain, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, and Slovenia. These countries had previously implemented their MSWs under Directive 2010/65/EU (Reporting Formalities Directive), which aimed to simplify and harmonize administrative procedures in maritime transport by standardizing electronic data transmission and rationalizing reporting formalities for ship operations.Through SEMAS-EMSWe, these nations aim to ensure compliance with the new EMSWe Regulation, fostering further harmonization, efficiency, and interoperability across Europe’s maritime sector.
In SEMAS-EMSWe, Magellan Circle will be involved both in the communication and dissemination activities as well as the deployment, testing and adoption of the MNSW and any additional functionality required.
